Social Action

Tikkun Olam – Repair of the World – is one of Judaism’s core values. We are responsible as Jews to constantly strive for justice and to improve the world in which we live. Congregation Beth Israel is committed to helping others, in our community and throughout the world, as we live out our commitment to tikkun olam and reaching out to those in need.
Our Social Action programs are firmly based on the faith and values of Judaism and the Congregation. We work together to repair some small part of our world, and everything we do deepens our commitment and connection as we work together to make things better.
The number and scope of the issues that speak to our commitment is nearly overwhelming. The Social Action committee plans, coordinates and carries out a selection of programs to make sure we respond effectively to the needs of our community.
Committed to helping others in our community and throughout the world.
