Religious Education at CBI
Congregation Beth Israel (CBI) offers a comprehensive Religious School program for grades Pre-K through Confirmation. We encourage families to begin formal religious education as early as possible so that children can both learn about our Jewish heritage and participate meaningfully in our Jewish community.
Our students begin to learn Bible stories, Jewish customs, holidays, traditions, and even their Hebrew letters in our Pre-K classes. By the third grade they are ready to begin reading Hebrew. Weekly assemblies provide opportunities for Jewish music and lively interaction with Rabbi Charlie. Our curriculum includes age-appropriate lessons, materials and projects that foster a strong Jewish identity and an understanding of Judaism.
Beyond Bar and Bat Mitzvah, our Confirmation class reinforces the Jewish core value of lifelong learning.
You can reach our Education Director, Tia Sukenik, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
